Chimera's Terms of Service

By commissioning me in any form, you inherently agree to these terms of service. Please read them thoroughly beforehand. Thank you!

Curious about anything else? Reach out to me at [email protected]!

This page was last updated on: 3-24-2025.

General terms...

  • I reserve the right to decline and refund a commission at any time if I feel uncomfortable or unable to complete your request.
  • Visual reference of some form is required! I won't work on verbal reference alone. It doesn't have to be intricate, though.
  • Sketches will be available to view on my Trello. I don't send updates via DM unless a client requests it, but I may work on your commission on stream sometime.
  • Small edits to some artworks are okay, but I won't do large edits after-the-fact without an extra fee.
  • Refunds are only allowed in the circumstance that either I never start your commission within the allotted time period, or I am unable to finish your commission for any reason.
  • Finished commissions are inherently allowed for use in my portfolio unless requested otherwise by the client.
  • Make absolutely certain you list a method of delivering your final work, and that you're capable of recieving DMs!

Turnaround times...

Though I typically try to work on commissions right away, please keep in mind that I am a multiply disabled artist (physically and mentally), so my energy can fluctuate. Monkey holding the International Symbol of Access pixel

  • Turnaround times will be different depending on commission types, and are priced accordingly.
  • Without unforeseen circumstances, I try to finish a commission within 2 weeks of starting work, and 2 months at maximum.
  • Any work requiring a rush-order deadline will have an additional fee charged. I may deny your request if I feel that I'm unable to complete it in the requested timeframe.
  • If for some reason I'm unable to finish your commission, I will refund you.
  • Times listed here are purely guesstimates; and the actual turnaround will be based on my energy the time your order is placed. I update my status on my Trello, and occasionally Ko-fi.

Accepted usage and payments...

Ko-fi

Ko-fi is my the method of taking commissions I have the most experience with.

Pros of Ko-fi:

  • Allows payment through both Paypal and Stripe
  • Gives the option to make smaller donations
  • Has the potential for a membership option, and other fun quirks for donos on my Twitch streams
  • Gives the option for me to sell physical merch in the future

One small con of Ko-fi...

  • Ko-fi immediately takes payment upfront whenever you place your order.
  • This means I may have to refund you after you've paid if I feel unable to complete your request.
  • In addition, if you have a hard deadline or intend to use my work commercially, I would have to contact you personally for that extra fee.

If that idea makes you nervous, I would reccomend using Vgen.

Vgen

Vgen is a newer service for me, and is very commissioner-friendly.

Pros of Vgen:

  • Allows payment through both Paypal and Stripe
  • Works by sending requests, and payment only goes through once I accept and begin to work
  • If you have a deadline or intend on using my work commercially, it allows me to request that fee from you automatically with no hassle
  • Allows you to request refunds, and keep track my progress

Cons of Vgen:

  • On my end, Vgen has a non-negotiable fee!
  • Vgen is a newer platform

I'm not as experienced with the platform as I am with Ko-fi. At the end of the day, it's all up to your personal preference.

All of this okay...

Any work I've created for you can be used for personal use, as long as credit of some form is given and properly attributed. This includes things like collages, other various edits (like picmix), and video edits. Edits to my work are okay, such as small animations to static sprites, cropping with masks for icons, etc, as long as you don't claim the artwork as your own.

If you intend on using my work in a commercial setting for an extra fee (such as partnered streaming, merchandise, etc), please link back here to my website, or to the page where you ordered your piece in order to promote my commission work. This is my main source of income, so I'd appreciate it!

Non-accepted usage...

  • You may not claim my artwork as your own creation.
  • Usage of my artwork for AI training is not permitted.
  • Usage of my artwork as NFTs is not permitted.
